When you go Beyond, you’re taking your business forward. You’re also giving back, thanks to the philanthropic mission at the heart of our company. Dedicated to young people who could use a break, Beyond designated the nonprofit Give Something Back (Give Back) as its founding partner and beneficiary. Give Back provides college scholarships and mentoring to students who have faced economic hardship and other challenges such as foster care or the incarceration of a parent.
On Wednesday, Give Back announced its 1000th full ride scholarship was awarded to a ninth grader in New Jersey’s foster care system, live on ABC’s ‘World News Tonight.’ With only 10 percent of foster youth attending college, and only 3 percent graduating, Beyond is proud to play a role in helping these deserving teens find academic success.
“I don’t want people to have to grow up the way I did—always being worried about where I am going to go next. I just want to have a happy life, so this is just the beginning… I’m relieved,” says Haley Revak, on how Give Back has impacted her life.
